so far, I have no complaints about 2014.

Please excuse me gloating about my life a little bit, but I couldn’t be happier.

Moving away from Ann Arbor for a semester has been better than I thought it would. It’s been nice to be at home/working and getting to do my own thing for a while. I seriously couldn’t be happier. My friends at school just don’t compare to my friends from elsewhere (home/sailing/etc) and being in Ann Arbor is a constant reminder of how I don’t really fit in with my friends from there.

My internship was amazing. I love love love PwC and auditing and everyone I worked with. Doing real work, away from the classroom, was a great change of pace. It also made me excited for my master’s year though. And coming out of the internship for a full-time offer starting fall of 2015 is such a blessing. So many people aren’t finding jobs these days and to be coming out of an internship with a job that pays above average for a college student is better than anything I could have asked for.

Lastly, Luke moving home and being closer to me has been so nice. Getting to see him every weekend is amazing. That hasn’t happened since 2 1/2 years ago and I am so incredibly happy. He is my best friend and I am so insanely in love with him. I could spend every day with him and be happy. It also makes me happy that he is happier at home too.

I LOVE 2014. BRING IT ON BEST YEAR EVER!

how can one person take constructive criticism so horribly?

I like criticism; I think it helps you grow and become a better person. If you can’t take criticism then you’re never going to be able to change the parts about you that are sub par. Maybe I’m stronger than most (although I don’t think I am) and other people can’t take the criticism, but if someone is taking the time to try and give you constructive criticism, they obviously care enough about you to not try and hurt you. I guess some people just find it hard to think that way.
